Origin of NSR syllable?

Greetings,

I've been experimenting with the NSR technique for a few days now and am surprisingly pleased with its efficacy (I was very skeptical of the TM organization and induced trance and remain so). Can you speak a little on the origins of the NSR syllable and why it is used for NSR? The NSR syllable is traditionally the root syllable of the perineal chakra in Hindu philosophy, is it not? I searched this message forum for background but didn't find much. Thanks for your attention.

Bryan

Thanks for your appreciation.
We don't care if the syllable is supposed to be related to a chakra. The value of the syllable, in NSR, is its sound. This sound has shown to give good results, and that's why we use it.
