Back to my old joyous self

Hello David,

Thanks very much for providing access to such an excellent technique and also for giving such good and helpful back-up through your forum answers.

I have been reading this forum for a few weeks now, ever since I started doing NSR, and have found it encouraging and illuminating, so I would like to share my experience with other people.

When I first started the technique I had a lot of shoulder and neck pain and some headaches. I also felt unusually irritated and angry on occasions. These passed after a couple of weeks.

During meditation, I have had some involuntary movements, mainly eye twitching. One episode of this eye twitching was very strong, but I observed it calmly and it stopped after a few minutes.

I have also noticed more dreams, some of them remarkable in their vividness. I have always paid attention to dreams as I think they teach us a lot, even if they do sometimes make us feel uncomfortable.

The main result, however, has been a wonderful improvement in the clarity of my mind. I can focus and concentrate on my work much more, and feel far less stressed and confused and a great deal more relaxed and calm.

I also noticed, within a few sessions, feeling much more relaxed when I was communicating and socialising with other people. I am enjoying my friendships a lot more as a result.

Through a combination of divorce, bereavement and redundancy there has been a lot of stress in my life in the past few years. With the help of NSR I feel I am finally coming out of the woods, and going back to being my old, joyous self once again.

In fact, my partner has been so impressed with how this technique has changed me that he has started doing it himself!

Thank you again and please keep up the good work.

The Self enjoys the Self

Kay,

You are quite welcome. I enjoy being of help.

It was interesting to read of how your transient shoulder and neck pain, headaches, eye twitching, and occasional irritability and anger, all symptoms of stress or stress release, ended. When stresses are released, we really do feel better! Thanks for sharing your experiences of increasing clarity of mind and the ability to focus at work, and growing relaxation, calmness, and inner joy. This is the art of living well: do less and accomplish more.

I wish you continued success.
