Steven,
No, this is not a usual effect of NSR. Most of us have pains from time to time due to poor posture, falling or other accident, or sleeping in a position of strain. NSR will not prevent such pains, but will provide deep rest to help repair the damage that is causing the pains.
If your pains persist for a week or more, see a doctor, chiropractor, or other appropriate professional for evaluation and treatment.
The questionnaires in the NSR manual should help you evaluate whether you are practicing correctly and whether you are getting benefits in daily life.
If you have any further questions, please do not hesitate to ask, either here or via private consultation.

Thanks David,
i am not really saying NSR is the cause, because i have felt that before
on and off the past two months, once or twice a week, maybe bad sleeping posture or ???, seems to happen when its very cold outside(i live in Canada)
or when i get very nervous, anyways it's just that when i meditate i feel a nice warm feeling at the same area were i normaly feel that pain once a while,
would it be nerves, i have been really nervous the past 15 months, i seem to be getting back on track, happier everyday, today i will be doing my 6 session, i really enjoy this, but i get kind of irrataded sometimes during the day,
I get mad at people at work for nothing, Am I letting go of years and years of stress!!!!! ( i am a stress person, plus i am a sales manager in a car dealership) so it's not the perfect relax enviroment.+ 2 new kids in my life,
but enought with this, lol, i really love to meditate, feel it more powerfull in the late afternoon then in the morning...
Thanks David!
Have a great and wonderfull day! |

Just a comment: I have found in the past that when there is a sensitive area in my body - perhaps a sore tooth, or a skin graze, or a stiff muscle - then during meditation that area gets more painful. It's as if the inner creative intelligence, consciousness, healing soldiers - whatever you want to call it - is sending reinforcements to that area to hasten the healing.
Post-mediation irritability and uncomfortable emotions can sometimes be the result of coming out of meditation too quickly -- i.e. without allowing those extra minutes with eyes closed ... and then SLOWLY opening one's eyes ... and then still sitting a further minute or two before getting up easily. Not following this extremely important part of the instructions can REALLY cause much discomfort, which can sometimes continue through the day.
