Guy,
1. "I'm feeling a bit groggy and foggy a couple hours after my meditation. I rested for 2 minutes after I finished. Is this normal?"
Yes, but it should only happen in the first few days of NSR Meditation. It indicates the shift of the nervous system toward stress release. If it happens beyond the first few days, let us know here.
Try resting for 4 or 5 minutes instead of 2 and see if that helps smooth away the grogginess.
2. "I work out pretty vigorously every morning. Is it better to do my meditation before or after my workout?"
We always try to meditate before dynamic activity. We want to challenge and make use of the deep silence and bliss. It is the activity that is responsible for stabilizing the gains resulting from stress release. Activity while established in silence brings joy and purpose to life.
