Back pain is a terrible wake up call for me to get back on track with my weight loss efforts. I have got to do this. I am hoping to have someone join in with me. It's always easier when your not alone. I weighed myself today for the first time in a long time. I have been off my diet for 2 months now, and thank God I have only sabotaged 5 pounds of what I have previously lost. Whew! I was scared to death that I'd blown it all, while at the same time knowing I couldn't fit into the clothes I wear if I had.
This morning I decided enough is enough. I am back on this weight loss journey! I am worth it and so are you if you came over here to read this. So what do you say? Are you ready? Ready or not here I am!

Yes, I will join you again!! I have stillkept those 8 pounds off but need to get back in gear. I started walking with the kids each day and would like to try and bike. Ava gets up BEFORE the crack of dawn though and so that cuts out morning exercise which is really when I like to do it! I haven't been eating too poorly, but haven't really been real diligent either. I would like to lose 10-12 before I go back to work at the end of August. Definitely attainable. So, as soon as I eat Marco's birthday cake tonight I will join your ranks once again:-)
Congrats on the 4 pounds lost this week!! WOO HOO!!!
So glad I have company! I think your goal is very attainable, too! I have been watching what I eat and counting my points (Weight Watcher's), but haven't been able to start exercising yet. I hurt my back a month ago and have had LOTS of pain since. Going to a chiropractor now and starting to see some improvements. I may be well enough now that I could at least try some swimming. I knew somebody would eventually join me over here if I talked to myself long enough! LOL!

I am holding steady over here! I just told my DH last night that it is time to make this a priority again! He finally agrees. I am going to start riding my bike up and down my street before the kids wake up each morning. I will look like a big dork riding the street for a half-hour but in the past I have found bike riding to be most effective for me!
I didn't post it the other day, but i am holding steady at 159. At the beginning of the year I was 165. So as I said before I am pleased that I have kept those six off but not pleased at all that I have not continued. Not an excuse, but the weather here in Pittsburgh has been for shite and the kids and I are cooped up inside all day. We eat to kill time. I am also horrible with water drinking when I am not working. When I teach I constantly drink to keep my voice working correctly.
I would love to see 154 by the end of this month and 149 by the end of August. Not sure what my ultimate goal is. I would certainly be happy around 145 with a twenty pound loss, but my ideal body weight is more like 135. We'll see how the summer progresses. I don't want to overwhelm myself - KWIM!!!!
And you should be proud of keeping that weight off. It is so easy to not only gain it back, but to gain more with it.
These past few days I haven't been dieting. I have had my husband's family in town and we've been celebrating the 4th. I'll get back on it Sunday for sure.

I ended up only gaining a half pound but it was tough getting back on the counting points bandwagon, but I am doing it again. I always try to think about when I carry Preston and he feels heavy to me that I lost more weight than he weighs and I don't want to carry him 24/7. It helps to keep me motivated.
That new picture of the kids is adorable!
