Lombardy and the Lombards

First i apologize for my bad english.

You are doing a good job of upholding the heritage of the Noerthern "Italians" in America.
But i have some advise for you.

I think you are making a mistake with padania, padania is just a Geographical term, not a cultural one. I was a member of the Lega Nord, but left that organisation, because its worthless. They are a POLITICAL organisation, not a Historic or Cultural one. their views are for the most part nonsense. I saw alot of your blogs being about or related to LN, but you should ignore the LN and all its nonsense. The LN is not the Gospel.
Why dont you abandon the padania idea and focus only and soly on Lombardy and the Lombard descendents. Your nick is Brixia Fidelis, hinting at Brescia, east Lombardy.

You see, Padania is just a Geographical term, not historic and definately not Cultural. And it is hard for Lombards and Venetians to identifie with padania, because it has no substance. So i think it must be even harder for Descendents to identifie with padania.
You should know, that Piedmont and Parts of the "Emilia" (Province Parma, Piacenza, Reggio, and Modena) are Lombard territories as well. All of that plus Lombardy is Lombardic.
In fact the Emilia part was once known as Lombardia Cispadana.(CAPUT LXI. Geodaesia, seu terrae partitio, ac divisio. Michael & Joh. Friedrich Endter, 1670. - [28], 1002, [181] S. 8° - Signatur Sch 070/044 page 472,).

Lombardy and Lombardic has alot of substance, just like Venetian or Tuscan, and its our heritage. The UNESCO classifies Lombardic (Insüber and Orobech) as own Languages, within the Gallo-Romance family. We have alot of history, from Cisalpina to Langbard to the various Duchies and Marquessates.
The lega nord is doing the same mistake as Post war italy, its trying to form a NATION out of different people, only they call it padania. We are Lombards, Venetians, Tuscans, Ligurians, Umbrians etc.
So, if the idea of focusing only on Lombards and the Lombardic element of your and your community heritage, appeals to you, let me know. I have alot of info, historic refferances and links for REAL Cultural Organisations, that can help you preserve your heritage, if you are interested.

PS: In one of your blogs you write that the number of langobarden was 30,000. This is not correct.according to karin priester: the minimum nuber is 150.000 - 200.000. And wilfried menghin writes of 120.000 Langobards. You must have mistaken it with the horde number.
