Alessio,
Your English is okay. I realize that Americans always want non-Americans to speak English only. However, I appreciate this. Thank you for your positive comments and advice.
Where I live, unlike elsewhere in America, roughly 60% of the "Italians" are of Northern Italian descent. Out of that population, about 80% are Ligurian-Tuscan-Piemontese. Those of Lombard, or even those originating from "greater Lombardy" is very small. I wish it was like maybe in Buenos Aires, with a great many Lombards.
As I see it, very loosely, "Padania" was unified during the time of the Etruscans and Lombards. Most of it anyway. I understand what you are saying. Greater "Lombardia" probably should have been a Nation from the beginning. Lega Nord symbolizes a guideline. In other words, a person may hate their attorney, but they still must root them on. I agree with you, most people are stupid and always go in directions that they should not go in.
The truth is that very few Lombards ever migrated to America. St. Louis once had a "Lombard neighborhood" called "the Hill." However, that was long long ago. It later became a Sicilian district, and the Lombards either merged with them, or merged with other Americans.
There is a Lombardi nel Mondo, North American regional council, it appears, but they seem mostly to be a business network for Italians working abroad. Very distant in their approach it seems.
Doesn't Lega Nord at least address regional identity and concerns with regional councils?
A woman told me once that the number of Langbarten was about 30,000, as she was likely trying to lessen the idea of their influence. I recall stating that I wasn't sure.
Sincerely,
Joseph Rondoni
