This topic arose in another thread, but I think it would deserve a thread on its own.
Since in the fantastic interview (thnx to Tony and Aart) Eric stated that he still has music left to write I wonder what you would like him to explore.
What could be the theme for a new album/musical (perhaps in another 6 years.. or better earlier?)
I really think that Vincent van Gogh is a wonderful artist and with his tragic life and devotion to his art would fit in the line of Gaudi and Poe, so that we would have a kind of triology (writer, architect, painter).
Do You have any other suggestions or ides for Eric ?
I've always thought that Chopin would make a good subject for a musical. Another life full of ups and downs and, of course, the bonus of being a highly talented musician. Yes it's another biographical musical but I know Eric has the talent to pull it off.
Well it seems quite presumptuous to even suggest something because of my absolute love for Eric's genius but as long as you are asking...
I always thought that (an this probably would have been more suited to an APP album) attacking the themes of commercialization in music and culture would be interesting. To listen to music that for the very purpose of the theme would need to be commercial. It is the antithesis of everything I believe that APP had tried to do but thought it would be interesting to hear ERIC's take on that.
