You were brilliant Steve! Well done! Can't wait until we hear you on there again! :) I thought Sadie Nine did a fantastic job doing the interview with you so I hope she does have you back again soon.
And it was great to hear "Immortal" and "Tiny Star" again on the wireless...can't get enough of that CD!
What a lovely way to warm up a chilly winter's evening... :) :) :)
Just a shame Sadie's research was a bit out of date. Great otherwise.
And anyone who stayed on to hear the agony aunts after 12, well, that was quite an eye opener! I think I learnt a few things... can't say what though, modesty prevents!!!

When you interview someone, especially on a medium like live radio, sometimes it is actually a clever and useful technique to let the guest update you and the listeners with more current information. You can never assume that all your listeners have kept up to date with everything your guest has been doing over the course of time. Plus it gives the guest a chance to do a lot of the talking, which is great from my point of view as I just love the sound of Steve's voice - be it singing or speaking! :)
Hats off to Sadie for using that technique - if you have a big ego or the tendency to be a know-it-all, you can't allow yourself to do it, because it does mean that you sacrifice just a little bit of your pride in your knowledge base in order to get an interview that will be of interest to a wider audience.
Once again, I really enjoyed the interview - well done both Steve and Sadie and I hope that she does have him on again! :) :) :)

No actually, her research was out of date. She was reading it. Clever techniques are all very well, but not if the facts let you down as it can end up making the host look uninformed. And she's a great personality and it's a good show so that was unfortunate for her I thought. Wording is everything and the way she worded it, she just wasn't correctly informed. She wasn't using some technique, she just didn't know. Shame. And can be awkward for those being interviewed...
At least it did what it set out to achieve, it got Poe publicised again.
