Hardware or Software?

Hi Stone... if you don't mind, which is your choice (for synths) ?

We have oodles of hardware gear and just can't let it go, but have switched to almost all SW (Protools) for effects, mastering, etc.

Regardless, it's not what you use, but the sounds you create IMO. I really like the patch used in 'Take Me Away' that some what follows or is layered with the bass line. It's the only sound other than the drums and bass in the verse. It almost has a DX7, DX5 sound to it... or if not FM maybe a Waldorf? Fits in the mix so well (as I am sure you know!!!).

Great production on all the tracks.

GF

Thanks! The main bass sound is the M1 preset 16 'Pick Bass' and the sequence playing with the bass is a TX81Z, basically a DX100 so you almost nailed it. I use some analogue gear still like my trusty EQ and Compressors from TL Audio and for bass I normally use the ATC-1, which is a modern Moog-ish thing with great sounds. I still have a Juno 106 and A D550 + the classic 1080.
