Freak On (Peter Presta Mix)

Hey Stoney..

I was stunned today when my record-dealer handed me a very newly-pressed (white) testpressing of the new single, Freak On.. On the A-side it had what very obviously is the Ferry Corsten mix (i heard the Micha Daniels remix on your latest mix, so i knew that it wasn't it).. But on the backside it features a bit more "regular" house mix, which really blew my mind! It's not that i disslike the much harder FC mix, it's really a great mix that will set my dancefloor on fire at 3am, but i really liked the other one, and the way that it incorperates just the right elements from the original! The thing that puzzeled me was that on the edge of the vinyl, it said "SB ft. UN – Freak On (Peter Presta Vocal Mix)" and as far as i know, such a mix is not mentioned anywhere..

But i must say that i really like the track, and it should be a massive hit! Can't wait to give it it's virgin spin next friday!
By the way, what can we expect from the Seamus' mix? Balleric style, or more of the depper last-night-a-DJ-saved-my-life-sound? And is it the original album mix that's featured in the video?

Cheers

Wow, even I had no idea about that one. There is a Peter Presta mix, but it was not intended to be on the promo. Glad it got on there though. Is this a Hed Kandi promo or is it perhaps a sneaky white that someone else pressed up? That might be the case.

The Mischa Daniels is the only other mix finished. Seamus is getting there and so are Live Element. We should have another promo ready for WMC.

Hey again Stone..

Well, the label on the vinyl is completely white, and says nothing about it's origin, so i also asume it's a sneak from somewhere in the Hed Kandi camp.. But i'm more than glad to own the PP mix – it's really a vocal house stormer! I had some of my house-friends come over and i played the record for them – they were absolutly extatic about the PP mix!

So it's really a hit for me, and i would'nt be suprised if it ended bieng the most popular mix amongst us DJ's It's a wonderful combination between the best elements from a cluboriented house-track and a more soulful housetrack.. Simply great! You should try givin' it a spin next time you're DJ'ing..

Cheers!
