Yeah, I love my divas and I plan to do another album before long. Probably start on it this autumn actually. Have a few new ideas on singers and I will definately use some I that were on this album. No worries, there will be more.
Of all the mixes you did I still love the way you transformed Rozalla's rather boring 'Love Breakdown' into a massive dance anthem back in 92 or 93. Consider doing something with her again. She's got a lovely voice.
Wow, that is the first ever feedback I've gotten on that mix! I loved it myself, a bit deeper that the stuff I did at the time - Thanks! (The idea has struck me a few times over the years, she can deliver with the right song)
Really the first time? Wow. I've always like it especially because I thought the original song was a bit lame and you made something spectacular out of it.
Really, the first good feedback! The label accepted the mix (I did two versions) without much appraisal and I guess because it was for a remix album for Rozalla and this was not one of her big tunes. Thanks again, now I can relax about that mix (like 10 years later).
Wow, had no idea. You know labels are really slack sending the mixers copies of stuff. I have to buy a lot of my remixes. Still find the odd piece from the 90's in bins all over the place

The best place to get CD Singles/CD Maxis from around the world is hands down Matt's CD Singles, their prices are affordable, unlike Esprit (aka EIL).
I agree with Buster54 that Clubland feat Zemya Hamilton was a great act back in the 90s. It was that special combination of Zemya's fantastic voice and excellent productions and melodies. Especially the second album which featured contributions from Steve Silk Hurley, Eric Kupper, E-Smoove etc etc was one of the best from that era. Also the third album ("The secrets of inner Clubland"), which was mainly produced by our man Stonebridge, was just great (and still is). If I recall it correctly they never got particulaly big in Sweden, but were mainly appreciated in the US clubscene. I think their only Top10 hit in Sweden was the excellent ballad(!!) "Cry", which was also produced by Stonebridge. Please, Stone, bring Zemya back to the music scene from that small town in the north of Sweden where she's "hiding"...!!
That's true and since I'm in essay mode I will tell you the true story about that last album I recorded with Clubland. It started as a more mature version of their classic sound (I didn't think that was a great idea, but the A&R guy was convinced). In the middle of the project he decided he wanted some kind of soul (even worse idea) and towards the end he lost his marbles completely and got an Italian producer from the 80's to do a couple of euro tracks and a Swedish pop production team to do another track. The album ended up being very weird to say the least and the only good thing that came out of it was Cry that was used in a movie. It was later a bit hit for a French artist apparently, but that was way after I left the project.
Zemya is a very talented singer that never really got the break she deserves. The only thing is that it is a bit difficult to work with her since she lives way up north and can only come down for a few days at the time. But still, you never know.
Hey Thanks For shining some Light Onto Zemya For Us.Lets Hope And Keep Our Fingers Crossed that She Gets A Break soon!Next Week ZYX DE Release Finally On Cd Her Latest Piece Of Work.A & P Project feat Zemya Hamilton-Sunrize (already Been around a While but now a couple of extra mixes)Think It Woulda Been Good Stoniefied!!!Lol!
One Other Question...What Happened To Ann Consuelo?Do It For Love Is one of My All Time Favourites!
Hmmm, wonder what that can be? New recording or just vocal samplings from her earlier recordings? Saw that Eric Prydz and Soul Providers have remixed the track. Has to be checked out.... A bit worrying though that its a ZYX DE release..
As Far As I Know Its A New Track A Collaboration Of Eric Prydz.Steve Angello And Axwell. With Zemya On Vocal Duties!.Remixes From Soul Providers.4Tunetwins.MisterTwister.Lorenz Rhodes And Frank Renegade.Originally Out Last year sometime but only really surfacing now.
