Queensday is one of the two essential weekends you need to be in Amsterdam (the other one is ADE in October). It was the warmest QD in memory and the warm up started in Srotterdam on the Sunday in this new venue called Thalia Lounge. Great club and great booth, but it was an early party that started at 6 in the afternoon so by 10, they were pretty knackered. Luckily, I had my local crew, Lara, Carlo, Vink and his friends to keep it going.

And then the main event, my first gig on a boat in the canals of Amsterdam during Queensday - mad, mad, mad! We had a pretty big boat (well one of those flat canal boats that they probably shipped timber on around 1946). A floating massive stystem, a bar and a dance floor basically and the theme was gold and silver. Resident Klaas and his crew had really done a great job and we played 1 hour sets the whole afternoon and peopöle on the sides danced and cheered - Love Parade: Go back to the corner!!! When I dropped ‘Show Me Love’, all on the boat and people on the sides sang along which was an awesome experience. Along for the ride were my hip hop loving sons, Diane and Vink, wicked afternoon - thank you Klaas!
