Back in London again for the first time this year. The show had been promoted for weeks on just about every site in dance music so I had high expectations. Brixton has been a bit rough and I remember doing a show there in the nineties at this little place Basement Jaxx started their career, but it seems to be a new more cosmopolitan vibe there now. The venue is under a massive lit up building and has a Morrocan feel to it. Very smart lay out and pretty good sound system. Mid-set I realised that this is a very funky area of London so I dropped some classics and got the party going. Really nice people organising and friendly crowd too. Thanks to the crew that came down, priceless to see Neil lose it when I played Daizy.

A short flight later I arrived in Oslo, which has gone through changes the last ten years and now is a bit of a cool city. The event was moved between three venues and as the date approached, the new club Stereo was not finished in time so a side bar had to do. Great décor and sound - very New York actually. Played a lot of new stuff and waited for the right time to drop the Norwegian National Anthem (not really, but sort of); Robbie Rivera ‘Take On This’. Man, did it go off - wicked. The new Natasha Bedingfield mix I finished on Friday went down really well too. It was a great night and we stayed and talked music for hours after. Special thanks for Tobias and his friend for coming over - felt like a mini-SB & Friends.
