Hi Everyone

Well I've been really busy since I got back from Stockholm and Stone had been asking for me too add the full report of last weeks cafe Opera. So I thought I would combine both reports into one.

Cafe Opera Stockholm 4 April 2008

Headed up to Sweden with the girlfriend and this time I took Stones advice and got the direct plane from Manchester. Fantastic route and only 2 hours away.

Stockholm as everyone knows is one of my favorite cities on the planet.People are super cool and they like there house music. We stayed at the Scandic Anglais which is in the center of town and has a great spa. Ideal when bringing guests.

After the standard Disco knap, we headed over to Stones new night at Cafe Opera.I had already been here last year and tHought it was an amazing venue , with an early 19 centuary style in side and great ambiance.

First things first, we ate on what would turn out to be the dance floor as its a restaurant as well. But they never cleared the tables until 12. This confused alot of the clubbers since we were in the main room, however they chose to stay in the bar area. This distroyed the whole ethos of what Cafe Opera was trying to achieve.

Cafe Opera has to understand that if it wants to be a restaurant and offer a club night in the same area then it has to get rid of the tables alot sooner. Say around 11 pm.

A word of advice, don't expect much change from £100.00 when buying a round of drinks. Still think its a huge amount of money.

Overall the night was great and the sound system was really loud. Lil Joey played a great pre Stone set and got the party going just right. Stone followed with I have to stay a banging set that left me gasping for air.. dirt dirt love the dirt!!!! After the standard swedish sausage that Stone takes everyone to have after the show, we all went home

Stockholm still is an amazing city with the water and the sun shinning. Everyone we met was super polite and willing to give directions.

Also was great to see the gang again , especially as I had never met Vink. Don't forget to bu that Lamborghini Tractor when you can hahhah

I will be back again

See you all soon

Custard Factory Birmingahm 12 April 2008

What a let down after , Stockholm. Jesus this city looks rough! Its an example of the poor clubbing the is in the Uk at the moment.Obviously I cant comment on the night Stone went to in England after the friday night in Stockholm.. but ughhhhh I did'nt like it this night in Birmingham at all

Custard Factory is anice enought place but i do't understand the logic of having an open door event on an April night.I had my Antartic Jacket on and boy I was happy to get in doors.

Stones set was good but I must admit I was inside alot due to the cold, you might have had a jet engine fan Stone , but I think they should have done better in that respect.Compared to Cafe Opera Sound System i rated it apoor 3/10

Not surprising Stone and myself did'nt stick around to listen to anything else.Even thought there was plenty of dj's and electro bands, and the whole place was like a mini dance event

I have nothing else to say on this night and thats that

Next day after walking round in circles, found the chinese quarter and though we were early, would'nt have made it to dim sum since it would have clashed with Stones flight times

Never mind

Adios Birmingham

The Lamborghini tractor is a chick magnet, that's for sure! Great finally meeting you in real life and will see you next time at one of SB's gigs!
