Ibiza part 2 and my first in the new Eden, but before I went there there I experienced some interesting things on the island. First of all, Spanair managed to keep all scheduled flights which deserves an honorable mention. After hooking up with Ange from Australia we went for a swift visit to Roger's pre-party at Mambo. Man, this year they local government has done all they can to kill the vibe. No outdoor music can be louder than a senior citizen's TV set so it's impossible to get anything going. Roger was doing his best with monitors on full blast, but the pavement outside and the slope towards the sea, where hundreds of people used to dance, it was dead silent. Same thing happened at Bar M, where I played the Koolwaters pre-party. You could see how ready people were to dance, but everyone was sort of waiting for something to start. The smoke machine did work though

and it was pretty cool anyway.

My old friend Alex Kunnari was warming up for Tiesto in Privilege and I have never been so we decided to go there to check what the fuzz was all about. Have you been to Disneyland? If you have, you would feel right at home as the entrance to Privilege, is pretty much the same. A well oiled machine with different lines for internet tickets, VIP, ticket sales etc. Very impressive. As we came in, the wow factor set in and we just stood there trying to grasp the size of the venue. The VIP was in the middle of the club and 500 metres to the left you saw a litle man on stage playing. The sound was very clean, but not loud at all so we were a bit concerned. An hour later, the stage and most of the club went black and 6000 people put their mobiles in the air and some shouted. Then a massive IMAX size LED screen lit up and there he was: Tiesto. People who slate this man haven't fully understood how far ahead of the cometition he is. I mean the production is just mad. The sound was cranked up and crystal clear. After about 3 tunes, I felt the need to go back to proper music (sorry T, no disrespect) and we went to Eden, which was rocking. This is a booth set up the way it should and second only to Attica in Shanghai or on par. Steve Haines and his girlfriend showed up just in time and inspired by the events of the night, I went straight for the kill with the Ortega remix and some other spanking bits and managed to keep the floor busy until closing. Definitely the best night I've had on the island for years!
