Finally time for ADE again - one of the highlights of the year. This conference started out as a very small gathering with maybe 150 people from Europe and is now the biggest dance music conference by far. And the parties are approaching WMC in numbers even though it reflects local talent more than Miami, which is cool and a good thing. The first show for me this year was Armada's big event in Paradiso and I and Mischa Daniels has the house room to ourselves. After a bit of a drama getting my expanding guest list in with some major blagging, we got in and it was crazy packed in there. I had a chance to catch up with Armin before he went on but me addressing him as bitch didn't go down that well, hehe. Then we went upstairs to support Mischa and even though it was slow during the first half of his set, but he got it going with the help of the crew; Vink, Bram, Walter, Lara and some other friends. by 2 AM it was great in there and MC Iceman got onboard dropping some shouts at the right time - he really is the best MC I've worked with in clubs. I also had a chance to try out my new bootie of 'Piano Mano', which went down a storm as did the forthcoming Stoney Boy track 'Thank You For The Jazz'. After the gig we went for Amsterdam's hot dog version of thin bread roll and it was pure heaven. Excellent night!

Hundreds of quick meetings and chats later it was time for the Armada & Ultra Records' get together in a back board room with terrific view over Amsterdam. Lots of pals from the industry, Kaskade and Laidback Luke was there and even though it wasn't a club gig, it was great. I also got a chance to check out Kaskade, who seems to always play the same venues as me either the week before or after. Really nice guy and solid tunes. I paid my respects to Luke playing his excellent and quite mad 'Cross The Dancefloor' remix and it was a shame he missed our SBF party as half my set there was his stuff
After the show Ben, Reza, Diane and Paul went down to Rain to see how the party was building.

People were already lining up outside and we all knew this would be one hell of a party. Vink played the opening set and dropped just the right stuff to get a vibe going. Then Joey played the best set I've heard from him since we started these events. He was on a mission and not a girl in the room was standing still. Great gathering of friends too, the core of the Stockholm crew including Tobias and Lotti, the promoter from Jönköping a month ago, Fredrik and his wife, Walter & Bram and a whole bunch of music industry people we know. At 1 AM it was ready to blow in there and I decided to spank it up 2 notches right away and went for two Luke tracks. From then on it was just mad all the way through with a slamming closing set from Reza and I haven't seen that many smiling faces for a long time. I think there were at lest 25 big parties on this might and we have a line all night and I think this means that people still want to come out for a proper party without pretentious bottle service and VIP sections and just dance to great music. Big big thanks to Lara, Paul and the Amsterdam team for arranging everything and all you SBF people that make these parties special.
