After having a great experience in Poland last summer at the festival in Poznan, I was really looking forward to this weekend and to have a session with the Wawa boys again. Before jumping on a very comfortable train to Krakow, we knocked out an amazingly funky track that will be ready in time for Miami hopefully. The venue in Krakow was very swish and VIP like, which can be a problem, but we might as well get used to it as this seems to be the future format for clubs worldwide. The promoter, a lovely guy called Lukasz, played a quite energetic warm up set so I could get straight into PCD, which really works. I don't know if it's the Missy Elliott element that gets people right into it or the funky vibe in the track, but it's great. I also discovered that Luke's mix of Roger's new track is amazing! After one of the most SB-centric sets I've ever played I had the place jumping and I definitely will be back here later in the year.

In order to get the most out of the little studio time we had, I had to grab the 10 AM train back to Warsaw, but it was worth it as the track is pretty much finished now. A few Polish meals later (love Polish food, you have to check it out. Really!) it was time for this little club called Organza that looks like a miniature of Pacha London. The place probably holds 250 people, but it's laid out like a massive room and the sound is awesome in there. I had been told the crowd is very commercial, but I gave them a good beating and it all went down really well. Another return for sure.

After Poland I went to lovely Cannes on the French Riviera for the yearly Midem conference and this year you could clearly see the effects of the credit situation in the world. Still, more space and quality people than before so I didn't mind the lower numbers actually. On the Wednesday morning, I flew to Paris and then onto Miami all ready for a lovely bonus tan, but what a disappointment - only 13 degrees celsius....brrr. Hung out with Funky Junction the night before the show and the next day we drove down to the beach to check out what the brand new Hed Kandi Lounge was all about. I have to say it's kind of surprising that HK haven't done more clubs as the style of the brand is very lounge and VIP. I've seen one in Singapore and now this one and it was really cool actually. Many people think that Miami is a house music mecca, but it's not at all. Except for one week in March that is and knowing this I went a bit gentle and open at first. When I played Richard Grey and Eric Morillo's new track, the man came into the club, which was a bit random, but cool. He thanked me for playing his music when he left which was a nice touch. Great night out with the Miami crew and hopefully I'll do this one again during WMC.

Kris,

It's only a personal re-edit. I added a few vocal bits and made some bits longer etc.
