Contrast is the name of the game in this business and after all glamour in Los Angeles, I found myself en route to Kaliningrad. It's an interesting place as it was part of Germany before the second world war and then called Königsberg. The the Russians took over and renamed it. After the by now standard drama with visa, I was finally let into the country, but the weather wasn't the best so I ended up not seeing much. Club was awesome, really one of the most stylish clubs I've ever seen and the crowd was great for Russia and soaked up pretty much everything after a smooth intro. The next day I did the traditional local dinner - a must in Russia or Poland and have a new favourite soup called Solyanka. Pizdets!
