Interesting weekend going from bad to good in my home turf, Sweden. Can't say I was very surprised about Malmö - a cool place down south opposite Copenhagen in Denmark - as they've never been known to love house music there. As I came to the club, a resident was playing pretty much everything Michael Jackson made between 1984 and 1990 with sprinkles of Lionel Richie (Dancing On The Ceiling, anyone?) and I wasn't that impressed as it's not cool to wind people up with 80's stuff and then BOOM. They had another guy warming in the main room that played a bit too hard for an empty floor so the owner just took him off. Great start people....not. Anyway, I decided I better get on with it so on with my favourite opening track, Praise The One and got people in right away. And it was pretty solid through the whole set even though it wasn't packed in the club.

Roll on Sunday and F12, which is the best summer club in Stockholm by far. It's actually amazing that they are allowed to play music really loud until 3 AM as it's close to a massive Sheraton and the government office is just around the corner and last but not least; it's Sweden - not known to be a place for hedonistic partying 24/7. But they do and it's open all week with pretty cool events all through summer. The party started at 3 in the afternoon, but I came in at 10 as I was on at 11.20. The event was for an internet based radio station called Loca so we were over 10-15 guys playing 50 minutes each. The whole Stockholm crew was there and only Joey was missing, but he was there in spirit as they broadcasted the whole thing. What can I say, Stockholm can be really good and this was one of those nights you think you're playing a mad festival in Australia or something - awesome, thank you so much! It was also amazing to drop Victor's mix of Love Thing and seeing his face lit up as he recognised his beats - classic.

It was great to tune in and listen to the mix set live. I wish i could have been there as it sounded quiet mental by the end of Stones set. Interesting to hear that there is a party crowd in Stockholm.
