ADE time again and the best conference on the planet! Of course I had to sneak in a little pre-show in the UK in a place called Durham, which is pretty close to Newcastle. I had a little crew of Neil, Tegan and Antony Angel + a bunch of Scots. Whenever there are Scots in the facility, the chances are big there's a bit of madness and it totally was. Great little show!

After a short jump over to Amsterdam the next morning, I went straight to my first meeting which was Armada. I've been working on my new single for a couple of weeks and this meeting was mainly about that and the forthcoming album. Armada were totally over the moon so you can say that the conference had a pretty good start. After having chatted to just about every producer in the business for two days, it was time for my annual event at Rain. As we went there in the afternoon to set it all up, we got that weird feeling that something wasn't right. New staff, new management etc and a different vibe. As the night started, we realized that the promotion was pretty much non existing so it was a slow start. Luckily it picked up and by 1 it was packed. I had a hard time with a bloody sound engineer that came in the pulled down the master every other minute in the first half of the set and there is nothing that can kill my vibe more efficiently. Once again I have to thank the crew for making up for most of that bullshit.

After the pretty disappointing Friday I was looking forward to hooking up with old pal Mike Van Loon, who invited me to his new residency at Rex in Hilversum. We got into a fan with MC Iceman, Joey, Paul and a bunch of Ice's friends for the 45 minute drive over. Iceman got the Chanpagne out as it was his birthday and the vibe was building nicely in the club. Mike did a phenomenal opening set I have to say and it was great to just slide in there and crank it up. Very cool Funktion One rig and the club is stunning!
