I don't think it would have ruined things if Micki and Ryan became a couple. They didn't have to become one right away, but at least before Ryan left the show.
Also, in my opinion, Micki and Ryan are, indeed, the best couple/duo ever on television. Their chemistry was amazing. I absolutely loved seeing them together.
