Denis was only 41 - he was a close friend of mine and we spent a lot of time together in Los Angeles. He collapsed and that is all I know - it may have been a heart attack, I don't know yet. I know he was doing well and was really happy recently - getting ready to make a film. I wish more people could see his dramatic performances so that they appreciate the incredible range of his acting talent - most people only saw him play bizarre and eccentric characters. In his personal life and to his friends, Denis was a very sensitive, intellectual, funny and spiritual person - such a wonderful and inspiring friend. He was also a very talented artist - he painted and made incredible sculptures. His work has been exhibited and also appears in private collections, as well as in the Laguna Art Museum in California, and in a few hotels in Las Vegas. He was a truly talented and special person who left us too soon - I recommend checking out his filmography at www.imdb.com and go and see everything you can. I am sad that there were so many great performances ahead of him that we will miss. He did two episodes of the X Files that aired in March - Provenance 1 and Providance 2. I also want people to know Denis was a talented writer. He won several prestigious awards for a few of his plays up in Toronto where he attended Ryerson, and he wrote several excellent screenplays. Thanks to everybody for reading this - feel free to email me about Denis. He will be missed!!
