Hi Amy,
My RE did say that I didn't need a HSG b/c the one I had last year was normal (he wasn't the one who did the HSG last year, so I guess he is going by the written report). It is a good thing that I pushed to have this test. My RE said that my problems don't cause infetility, I have read otherwise. I have read of circumstances where women have had the surgery to correct the problem (hysteroscopy) and end up getting pregnant right after. My Re said that the polyps and septum can cause miscarriages b/c of problems with implantation. I really don't know what to believe. Dh and I have discussed not having the IUI this month. I only have a limited amount covered by my insurance, so I figure that I willl continue with IUI once I correct this problem. I still have to go in for a sono when I get a positive on my OPK. RE wants to check out the polyp in relation to ovulation. All of this is so complicated. Dh and I have decided to continue to BD and try on our own this month, you never know.
I would trust your Re and take the 100mg of clomid. You never know, I have heard though that clomid helps you to ovulate and Dr.s will up the dosage if it isn't doing it's job. At this point I don't think it hurts to give it a try. I have often thought about just giving up all these treatments and let nature take it's course. I'm not that brave yet, so I will continue with TTC.
Love,
