Robitussin / baby asprin = pregnancy?

August 8 2002 at 3:25 PM
Amy

First of all I do have an adopted son. He will be 3 in september. We have had him for 2 years.Biological- Parents are deceased. I love him with all my heart and couldn't imagine my life with out him, but he needs a sibling. We never intended to adopt nor were we seeking to, God just dropped him into our laps. I love to be a mom. and I desperetely want to be a mom again.

Now. Has anyone heard of robitussin and baby asprin being taken to thicken the uterus? I researched it alot today and heard of many success stories. I think that I might try it? I want to see what yall think first. Please everyone post your opinion on this subject.

Love to all of you.

Amy

Baby Asprin etc....

Hi Amy,

Thanks for sharing about your son. Really makes me think seriously about adoption. My biggest fear is that I'd get attached to the baby and the birth mom would want him/her back. I don't know if I could go through that. (I've heard heart wrenching stories of failed adoptions that have made me nervous)

As far as baby asprin. I was actually wondering the same thing! I have a thin uterus lining, and have been doing some research into how I might thicken it. I have heard that asprin promotes circulation, and increases the blood supply to the reproductive organs "in general". (including the uterus) I have read that 81mg (a baby asprin) is recommended one a day. I bought some and will take it after my AF stops.
(with my next period) Just be careful, cause Asprin is a blood thiner too, and it shouldn't be taken during AF.

Second, Robitussin (can't spell it) I take that every cycle to help thin out the cervical mucus. Evening Prim Rose Oil does the same from what I have been told.
I don't know anything about Robitussin thickening the uterus lining though. I have noticed a change in my cervical mucus when taking it! It diffinately increases it. It's important for conception to occur, the mucus be thin. Clomid can interfer with the viscocity of the mucus and make it too think. My "practice" is to take it the Robitussin after about CD 6. I will probably do the baby asprin and Robitussin around the same day to make it easier. =)

Good question!!!! I hope we can all learn something, and post our results here, share the knowledge. =)

God bless,

Donna
