Spotting

Hi Ladies,

I'm CD 15, on 50mg of clomid and awaiting O. This is
my first month on clomid and I'm having a little bit
of cramping as well as a little bit of spotting. I
took clomid on days 3-7 and AF was with me for the
LONGEST time - 9 days! I've been using OPK's and
they've all been negative which isn't surprising since
I usually O around CD 17-19. I guess my big question
is, has anyone else ever had any spotting while on
clomid along with some cramping? I'm also charting my
temp and it hasn't risen yet so I know that I haven't
O'd.

Any feedback is greatly appreciated!

Baby dust to all-
Kristin

I have

I had some from time to time. My Dr didn't seem concerned about it. I always Od on day 16 or 17. I was overstimulated this month so I had to hake a month off. I had some off and on this month as well. I guess from being over stimulated. The ovary pain and cramping is pretty normal I think. Dr doesn't even think that is an issue to worry about. I always had the ovary pain. Its more pronounced with the clomid. Good luck and hope things go well.

Thanks for your feedback, this is my second time on clomid (I got pg on my second dose last time) and I don't remember having the cramping or spotting last time. I guess it's different each time! I'll keep you informed on my progress this month.

Thanks for your support-
Kristin

Kristin How Are You?

Hi!!!

Welcome to the clomid club. (although my post is a bit late) I saw this is your second time on the wonderful drug. (ha ha ha) How is the spotting? I had it too my first month, around ovulation time. Only a bit, and it decreased and went away around CD 19 for me.

Let us know how you are doing, and welcome!

God bless,

Donna

Hi Donna

Donna,

I've stopped spotting and now am on CD 16. I'm waiting for signs of O to come along. My temp is still low and the OPK this mornig was negative. My cramping is minimal too. I'm supposed to go in this month for a follicle scan when my OPK is positive (any day now, I hope). I've never had a scan, do you know what that is all about? I'm also supposed to get a shot of Novarel to help release the egg. This is all very new to me and I'm a bit nervous.

Thanks for asking!

How is everything for you?

Kristin

If my memory serves me correctly, I have heard of a little bit of spotting during the Clomid cycle. Just make sure you keep track of it and tell the Dr.

What OPK are you using? You have to be somewhat careful with them. There are many people who find them unreliable. I hated them because it seemed to intensify the whole process. Waiting for that stupid line to show up. Drove me nuts.

I don't understand why they have you doing the opk then they will give you a trigger shot. But I can tell you about the scan (u/s) They do it vaginally so they can see how many follicles you have on each ovary and if the lining of your uterus is ready/thick enough. It's amazing what they can tell you.

I hope this helped a bit. Let us know if you have any more questions. I look forward to getting to know you.

Love,
Rhonda
