I was delighted to do a search on clomid and find that there was actually this group for it. I am totally new to this, so I am going to be depending on a lot of you for support! I start clomid in a month after taking glucophage for a month first. I am actually afraid of the glucophage more than anything. Anyone on it? I am a 6-yesr endo veteran who has been through 4 surgeries and lupron and danazol treatments for the past five years- I have the drugs b/c they make me feel bad. Has anyone taken danazol or lupron, and how do the clomid side effects compare? Thanks in advance for your help, and good luck and strength to you all.

Welcome Mary! This board has been pretty quiet lately, so it's nice to have a newbie. I have been on Clomid for six months and trying to conceive for about 20 months; I just had my first IUI last week. I've never used glucophage, but I am sure someone who has will respond to you.

Thanks for the welcome. I am actually not ovulating at all right now, so I don't have the stats to give like the rest of you do. I guess that is D1 everyday. I'm getting ready to figure out when I start my clomid today. Started the glucosphage last night, so 1 mo. from now I'll start the clomid. I am glad to have you ladies to help me through this. I am 27 and haven't been trying for long- just have really bad endo and am trying to avoid a hyster. I am obviously not cycling at all, and my RE wanted to just start in with IVF, but that is a little expensive for newlyweds (to be soon). I've been on every treatment they have for it, so The side effects of clomid sound pretty much like what I've been on for 5 years. I'll look for messages and guidance from you all and hopr to bee supportive too. I hope it will make some of you have a little sunshine in your lives to know you are helping a newbie I will pray for you all and wish you the best.

You will find this a great place to learn and get lots of support.

I had been on Glucophage for a short amount of time. Made me feel queasy all the time and down right sick to my tummy when I ate greasy foods. I never did get used to it but I was only on it for 2 cycles. Common Clomid side effects are headache, hot flashes/night sweats and mood swings.

Good luck to you!
Rhonda
