Where did everyone go?

Hi Girls,

I miss hearing from everyone. Dh and I decided to do the IUI, despite my polop problem. My Re suggested that we give it a shot. I have unlimited IUIs with my insurance so we decided to do it. I had already taken clomid and had a sono, saw a couple of very ripe follicles (I think size 20mm). I had the HSG trigger shot and my IUI was done last Wednesday. I am not getting my hopes up. I believe that it won't happen for us until I get my polyp removed. I will have a hysteroscopy the Tuesday after April. I will have to wait a month before I can try again. I hope all of you are well. Please keep in touch

Love,
Nancy

Great to hear from you Nancy!

Hi Nancy,

Sorry I've disappeared lately. It's mainly for a good reason -- I've been trying not to focus on my infertility and it's working! (Not that I don't love talking to all of you -- you girls are the best part of my infertility!)

It sounds like you're very level-headed and have a great plan. That's amazing that your insurance will pay for all the IUIs.

We have had a pretty low key month. I took the 100mg of clomid (after taking 50 for 3 months) and the sono showed that I was bubbling with follicles so I had the HCG shot too. I was able to see a difference on the sono in terms of my follicles being on the 100mg vs. the 50mg I was on. The RE who I saw (partner of my RE) asked me in a joking way "Are you sure you're not taking percanol instead of clomid?" since my ovaries were bursting. I actually felt quite a bit of pain on my ovaries from all the activity. Do you have that too?

We just did our thing on our own, and will continue to do so for the next few months until IVF in July (at least that's the plan for now). I think this is my last month on clomid. Re says he wants my ovaries to rest, especially if I'm gearing up for IVF.

Good luck and please keep me posted!!

Love,
Amy

Hi Amy,

Your plans sounds great. You very well may get pregnant on your own waiting for IVF. I have heard that happen. I haven't experience any ovulation pain, at least I don't think so. This is the first month that I had the HCG shot. I was shocked that my insurance paid for it. I'm waiting for AF right now. I really don't think I'm pg. I have a hysteroscopy/laparoscopy scheduled for 4/22. I will be on vacation that week so I guess it works out. I know what you mean about trying not to obsess about IF and get the boards. I don't have good will power. Good luck to you!!!

Love,
Nancy
