Last month my dr. started me on 50 mg of clomid, which was unsuccessful in triggering ovulation. This month he bumped me up to 100 mg, but I am on cd 24 and still no sign of ovulation. He told me to try 100 mg for one for month and if that doesn't work, I have to meet with him for another consultation. Has anyone been in a similar situation. Has anyone ovulated on the second round of the same dosage that didn't initially work? What is the next step if I don't ovulate next month? Any feedback would be greatly appreciated. I am getting very stressed and nervous. Thanks.

I took clomid for 4 months..the first month on 50mg, I didn't OV, then they bumped to 100mg..the 2nd&3rd month I OV, the 4th month on 100mg, I didn't OV..
so, now the DR. put me on progesterone suppositories (25mg 2X/day) and I take 100mg's of clomid. My DR. is allwoing me to take it for 2 more months and if I don't get PG, then they will send me to a specialist!
In June I had and HSG done and all was fine..no blockage! I went to the DR. yesterday for blood work to see where my hormone levels were!! Good luck to you..

I have a beautiful baby boy who is now 6 months old that I conceived using clomid. I was on 50mg day 5-9 and did not ovulate. Then I was on 100 mg day 5-9 and did not ovulate. The third time my Dr. gave me 100mg again but had me take it day 3-9. I don't know why but the two extra days worked for me!!! I was really discouraged before because that was the last time my Dr. would prescribe clomid and was going to have me see a specialist. I am so glad it worked!!! Best of luck!!!!
