Are you still out there? I haven't been on the site in a long time, and was just checking in. If you see this, write and let me know how you are!

Hi Amy,
Yes, I lurk the site from time to time. It has been really quiet since we met. The last I wrote was after my laparoscopy, well I have some news. I got pregnant right after that. I never got my period the following month and dh and I found out that I was pregnant. It was very scary because my Re said that I could miscarry b/c I had not healed from the surgery. Well, that was six months ago. I'm due on January 20, 2004. I had an amnio due to some complications last year with a pregnancy (I'm only 30). I have to thank God because so far our baby is healthy and dh and I are waiting to meet our little one. It was so ironic that I got pregnant after the surgery b/c I was actually waiting for AF to come so I could take a more aggressive approach to my IF and start Gonal-F injections. I even bought the injections and they are still sitting in my house. I have to drop them off to my Re's office. I have decided to donate them to someone who couldn't afford to pay $1000 for injections. I was lucky that our insurance paid for it and all I had to pay was $12.
How are you? Did you ever go through with having IVF? Keep in touch. I would love to hear from you.
Love,

| Oh my God!!!!! That's wonderful news! | September 30 2003, 10:56 AM |
Nancy,
I was so excited when I read your note. I've thought about you and wondered what ever happened. Boy was I happy to hear your news. I do remember what happened with your past pregnancy and what you went through; needless to say, I am thrilled for you that a healthy baby is on the way.
I too have wonderful news -- we did IVF in July and I am 11 weeks pregnant. My due date is April 22, 2004, so our babies will be only 3 months apart. I am so incredibly happy. We were fortunate in that the IVF worked on the first try -- and we are having one baby (if you recall I have a 4 year old son so I was hoping for a single pregnancy). Anyway, although I've been completely nauseaus for the past 5 weeks, I am overjoyed.
My email is ajrose@optonline.net. I'd love to keep in touch! Please write and keep me posted on your pregnancy.
Love,
Amy |
