Hello Ladies,
I was recently told that more people on Clomid have girl rather then boys. I heard it was as high as an 80% chance for a girl....anyone know how much truth there is to this??


I am taking clomid (50mg) this is my 4th month and second IUI.

I would have to say that it's about equal for the girls I know who were successful with Clomid.

I have not heard this, but I do know that I had a boy. He is now 6 months. I was on clomid 100 mg day 3-9. It was my third round before this worked. Best of Luck!!

I have just started taking Clomid but I have never heard this. I have a friend who was on 100mg of Clomid that had frateral twins; a boy and a girl.

It's the sperm that determines whether you will have a boy or a girl, so I can't see how Clomid could influence that.

It is true but not 80%, it's more like 57%-G 43%-B. The clomid tends to dry up cm and make it more acidic, which favors the X sperm, if you have IUI, it won't change the % as both would be sent up there equally.
