I have been on dexamethasone of the last 6 months. I just had my 1st clomid cycle & have one follicle at 15 mm. I go back for another sono on Wednesday.
I am taking the dexamethasone for an elevated DHEAS. The meds have brought my #s down to to normal, but I have had some side effects...some ankle swelling & a resistance to insulin. Also - I have only ovulated once since I started taking the meds.
I was just at my endo last week, and am hoping that I will be able to go off the dexamethasone very soon!
Why are you on it? How long did they say you'd need to take it?
Today will be my first day taking Dexamethasone but it will be my 6th month of Clomid (3 pills/day days 5-9) I have ovulated every month w/o getting pregnant. I also take glucophage to treat PCOS and synthroid for hypothyrodism. We are hoping THIS is the month...(like I haven't hoped that for the last 6 years) if not, I don't know the next step yet and I don't think I want to think about it. Any ideas, concerns, side effects other things I should be concerned with? Wish me luck!
