Hello, everyone. I'm new here... I'm an older woman, 44, and i just started clomid this cycle, 50mg. I am fairly certain I ovulated because of the symptoms I am having. High temps, sore nips, tired, mild nausea. I know that the elevated progesterone will cause these symptoms so I guess my question is, can clomid cause elevated progesterone levels in the absence of pregnancy?
Thank you for any info you can share...and good luck to everyone. Also, are there any other "oldies" on this board?? I could use the company!!
Hi, I am 40 and trying to get pregnant. This is my second cycle using clomid. My cycle length is usually 38 days, so my doctor prescribed Clomid 150 mgs day 7-9, 100 mg day 10 and 50 mg day 11. The ultrasound showed 4 follicles, only 1 is mature 21mm. If I do not get pregnant this cycle, he wants to increase my clomid intake. I have cramping now and I see flashing lights while taking this medication. I hope it works. Good luck to you. I am testing for the LH surge, so far, nothing.
Hi
I also had light flashes on clomid as a side effect. You should contact your doctor ASAP as this may not be a good sign and may be indicative of an OD but you have to make sure with your doctor. Drink heaps of water to flush it out of your system. Let me know your progress and I hope you get pregnant soon
