Marisol's money is in the Herencia that Don Alonzo left for her. Since she is presumed missing the law stated that Amparo, Leonardo, et al. have to wait five years till they can get Marisol's part of the herencia.
Mariano did tell J.A. that he is his father and J.A. has not forgiven him.
