I'm not sure why Marisol hasn't told JA what really happened. Although, I do think it is because she is unsure of how he feels about Marisol and that might not make him believe her, if she does tell the truth. Also, when she tells JA, then everyone will know. I'm not sure if she is ready to let everyone know she is Marisol out of fear. She is stronger than she was before, but she still needs to work at it and unleashing the information of who she is....means she has to be very strong for the repercussions. People want her dead and will stop at nothing to do it.
