We do have a proud heritage from our Navy fathers, don't we?
I am new to this site and just starting further research on Dad's LSTs ... but this site has already made me feel like family!
As long as you are near there, do you know if there are any ship reunions being planned? I would love to even meet just one gallant gent that served with my Dad. The sad part is that I know many of them may be gone. Dad passed away in 1977 ... far too early. I sure hope there will be a groundswell to use this historic visit of beautiful LST in all her glory (most of us have only seen them in photos and news reels) and use this as a chance to meet any remaining men who served on any LST. Maybe this is already being planned ... let me know if you hear of anything!
