The tornado missed the ship by two miles. Ellis Park, a horse track two miles from the ship is pretty much destroyed -- dead horses; other running amok. Last count, seventeen people dead in Evansville. One of our men who works as a tour guide had the tornado rip down his street -- his house, although damaged, is the only one standing in his block.

LST 325 suffered no damage.

The Natchez will be tied up to LST 325 until Tuesday morning. The ship has some New Orleans chefs aboard and is offering brunch and dinner cruises on Monday.
