We have been informed that Gerard H. Nadeau, an LST 325 crewmember during WW II (Mr. Nadeau was aboard the 325 during the Normandy Invasion) passed away on April 28th. He was 92 years old. On Mr.Nadeau's 90th birthday, his daughter, Suzanne DiMiceli, had a flag flown on the 325 for him. Suzanne tells us her father cherished this flag.

This coming Saturday, July 1, we will announce over the ship's PA of the passing of this American hero, the crew will salute, and we will toll the ship's bell in his honor. This will occur at exactly 1200 hours Central time.
