Response to A passing...

I sat next to General Tibbets on a airplane a few years ago. I recognized him, most on the plane did not. He was really nice, but said he couldn't hear very well. "A lot of flying does a job on the hearing." He was very pleasant to me.
I asked for his autograph. He said "Sure, do you have something I can write on?"
I ripped a page out of my notebook. Attached is what he wrote. Pretty neat. I've saved it all these years.
