Response to Question, Frank...
SEABAT, I believe the cable[anchor] inspections were made constantly because of the numerous wrecks and beach obstacles around the beaches. We did not want to be unable to retract at any time. as to the explosions we were told that the TEXAS hit a ammo dump 10 miles inland, believe it or not.
