In 2003, Luhr Brothers gave countless hours pushing the 325 from port to port
as the LST made it's Heartland Tour up the Mississippi and Ohio Rivers.
Not a year passes by as the LST continues to travel the rivers, that Luhr
Brothers has not come to the aid of 325 for that needed push or a lift.
2008 is no different! Today a new generator was delivered to the ship in
Evansville, and who was setting some 300 yards up stream with a river crane,
a tow boat, and several great hard working Luhr Brother employees? They
pitched in to get the new generator and the ship's new crane on the ship in
preparation for the upcoming Mississippi River trip.
It was a long hot day, but comradely action and fellowship among the 15 to 20
volunteers who worked together and watched things fall into place, made a
most memorable day for the ship's volunteers and Luhr Brothers who completed two
needed improvements for the ship.
