USS LST 325: Just Wondering

I was just wondering if any Navy vets were ever directed to fetch any of the following items in the course of their active duty: Relative bearing grease; buckets of steam; red light bulbs; radar blips; sonar pings; etc? Add to the list if you like. Also, did anyone ever stand a mail buoy watch or an international date line watch. Please tell us your sea stories concerning the above.
