Response to CONGRATULATIONS DICK MEYER

Lois and I went to Dick's reception in NE on Saturday. Had no difficulty getting there but sure did getting back home with the snow and ice, etc. Anyway, Dick was so pleased we could come and talked extensively about the LST 325 and the great crew that brought it back. He looked pretty good and seemed in good spirits. His sister, Liz, is to be credited for getting this together. Dick was very active in the Masons and a fraternity and there were many of his friends and associates there to honor him. Many pictures were taken and we hope to share some of those with you if we can get them from Liz. He is facing some difficult days ahead with chemo but has a great attitude and a "never give up" spirit. He would enjoy hearing from anyone and the cards are displayed in his room. WE ADD OUR SINCERE CONGRATULATIONS TO DICK! Capt. and Lois
