This past weekend ten LST 325 crew members took part in a WW II Reenactment on Lake Michigan.

LEST WE FORGET
The reenactment took place in St. Joseph.

Tom Price in his LVT attended; from what is reported (and you can see in picture #1) Tom was below the water line!

Kenny Adams' DUKWS was there and LCVP-3 from LST 325 was manned by Jon-Paul, Lee and Garth Adams.

417 Reenactors were in attendance with an estimated 12,000 spectators on site. (See photo #4 and #6)

Lake Michigan had 4 foot swells (Remember picture #1?)! For any who forget what it was like on the ocean, all you have to do is take a look at the photos!

That evening at the Airport (which also served as the staging area), interest in the 325 was great! All available LST 325 brochures were used. It was a perfect opportunity to promote The Ship Memorial and it was a great success - yesterday Kenny received a call from the St.Joseph/Benton Harbor organizers of
this event. Next year they plan tours by bus to LST 325 in Evansville
along with other Military Museums and sites of interest on the way.

Thanks to all who participated... and thanks to all who help make LST 325 a fitting showcase and Memorial to all who served in the LST/Amphib forces and who built these wonderful ships!!!!

BRAVO ZULU!!!!

Some of these photos have to make many of you remember far distant shores.. another time... another place. God bless all of you who served and endured so that we have the freedoms we have today. Remember those who currently serve. These reenactments take place not just to teach history, but to also allow us the time to pay homage.. to give tribute to those who died and those who live on; through these efforts we can truly share cameraderie and give respect.
