While at the NARA, College Park, in September, I unexpectedly found six U.S. Army Signal Corps photos of the disaster at West Loch, Pearl Harbor, May 1944. I scanned the photos at 800 dpi.
Three of the images are now posted on Navsource:
SC 427952 features the burned-out hulk of LST 39. The caption
states the photo was taken "prior to a terrific explosion which
ripped the boat apart."
