The LST-325 cruise mission to Cape Girardaue, Mo and Vicksburg, Ms was a big success. We had 66 WW II veterans to show up at the LST for a free tour of the ship at these ports. Each veterans was given Red, White and Blue ribbon with a WW II style dog tag, that stated WW II Veterans, Thank You For Your Service LST-325. This was given at the LST bow door to each WW II veteran who came aboard the ship. Got to hear a lot of great war stories and it was an honor to meet and know them. We had a good deal of school students groups take a tour of the LST and they got some history they don't get in school. I hope they have a better understanding and respect for what the WW II Greatest Generation did for them. All of us should be very proud of a LST-325 cruise mission done very well. Take care. SARGE
