I think an enquiry is needed. The issue as to weither Campbell actually scored an own goal vs Wythall Ath has never been agreed. In actual fact it was (correctly) claimed by the opposing striker as he had the last touch. The record needs to be changed!

Its a lie!!

erm... I don't think there was an opposing forward in the 18 yard box at the time of the goal!

Having said that, I can't remember what I had for breakfast this morning, tho I know it must have been Weetabix - as that's the only cereal I like.

Honestly, I had to ask the management who actually 'scored' the OG and they stated it was Mr Campbell - who should be glad he has another goal for his tally this season!

It may be tight between Eddie and Rob for the Golden Muddy Boot, but it's a 3-way tie between Tony, Dean (as ever) and Rob as to who gets the crap kicked out of them at the end of season bash

It's nice to see that despite the chances of promotion being all but gone (unless we win pretty much every game we have left), there is competition for all personal honours, not only the own goal tally and the golden boot, but also the person who gets to down the dodgy pint at the end of the season for player of the year. Or has the dodgy pint been replaced by two normal pints in quick succession?

Definitely wasn't an own goal - obvious to everyone that the ball rebounded off the attacker.

A campaigns gonna start soon (unless that great injustice is the only thing separating top scorer at the end of the season!) to have the record set straight.

Justice will prevail!

(or failing that blackmail, threats and GBH)

I think Rob should come to terms with the fact that the truth will never prevail at Mapleleaf!! Where fictious gossip is more interesting than fact, lies will win! You may as well give up now Rob and decide what drink you want for the own goal of the year award.

Being as the said own goal award bears my name, i would like to put in my nomination for own goal of the season.

Well, as that famous and accentric white haired marathon runner, Sir James Saville once said... "Your Letter is only the start of it, its getting better and now your a part of it.....now he's done it Jim has fixed it for you." "Ba Pa Daaaaa, Ba Pa Da Ba Da Ba Paaaaaaaaa..... etc.. etc..."

Barney and Meatball are neck-and-neck with 2 own goals a piece for this season!

With only 1 remaining game who will be victorious and claim the much underappreciated 'Dean Lycett Own Goal Trophy'?

Or can Tony come from nowhere and amaze us with some of footballing ability to clinch it at the end?

All will be revealed (not you, Tony - put your clothes back on) - soon...
