From Dean's superb publicity idea back in 2001 - to try and get sponsorship or kit for the Maple Leaf team after the 'infamous' quality blue kit went 'missing'...

The pic and story appeared in the Haleowen News, Stourbrisge News, Express & Star (Dudley), Evening Mail (B'ham), The S*n, and the marvellous Sunday Sport publication (opposite Linsey Dawn McKenzie).

Dean's good work paid off shortly after - 'Bell Plumbing' agreed to sponsor Maple Leaf for 2 seasons providing monies for kit (the Ajax styled yellow/black kit) and training gear with the 'Bell Plumbing' logo adorning the Maple shirt.

Dean will most likely have more info on this story - and Glover still has the yellow/black kit sotred somewhere in his stylish abode...
