That is quite a surprise result m8.
How did Handsworth play? Was it a fortunate scoreline of fully deserved?
When Maple last played Handsworth they were awful for the 1st half, but never gave and came back from 3-0 down to equalise for Maple to luckily gt a winner with the last kick of the game...
Bit disappointing from Maple's point of view as Handsworth picked up 3 points for the race for 4th place (and possible the last promotion place).
Should be interesting to see how they bounce back next week vs Sutton - who can be awkward to beat when they want to be...
It seems - weather permitting - that we'll finally get to play each other this Saturday!

Hi Sag,
ELMDON WERE TERRIBLE,CENTRE HALFS WERE NOT ORGANISED IN ANY WAY AND THE FORWARD LINE LOOKED QUITE WEAK.
FROM WHAT I GATHERED ELMDON WERE MISSING KEY DEFENDERS AND PLAYED THEIR CAPATAIN GINGER CHRIS AS A SWEEPER.
HE WAS NOT UP FOR THE JOB AND DRIFTED ALLOWING HANDSWORTH TIME AND SPACE TO SHOOT AND GET IN BEHIND THE DEFENCE.
MIGHT BE AT THE MATCH AS I AM AWAY ON A FA COACHING COURSE FOR TWO WEEKS HOPING TO MEET UP WITH YOU IN THE BAR AFTER THE GAME.
HOPE THE PITCHES ARE ON AS WE LOOK SET TO HAVE QUITE A BIT OF RAAIN IN THE NEXT COUPLE OF DAYS.

Hi Martin,
Aye m8 - hopefully see you in the bar after the game, though a few of us are LFC fans and will be looking for somewhere to watch the LFC-ManU Cup game before.
Will the bar at your place be open at 12noon, and does it have a tv? Any other recommendations for nearby pubs?
Hope the weather stays clear, if the rain does lash it down and the pitch becomes unplayable, Maple's home pitches are still in decent condition (weren't used until late November) - perhaps switching the game to our place if in doubt? Just a thought m8 - still hoping for decent weather!

This is my opinion and take it or leave it lads.
Forget our win.
Your should get promotion this season and most of all you seem to have a great team spirit. That is what I have seen and congratulate your manager and players for improving your club beyond recognition from the Maple 04/05.
Forget all the banter the lino, offsides and all the stuff that goes on.
We at Schofield wish you all the best for the future and hope to see you promoted this season.

Cheers Bear
All the best for your title push and promotion - will certainly be an intriguing couple of games when you and Elmdon play - probably for the Div 9 Title...
Bit disappointed with the scoreline for yesterday - and in the manner in which Maple conceded some of the goals - but it happens to every team sooner or later, and unfortunately the attacking play couldn't bridge the defecit.
Have to say that ref had a stinker - a few dodgy decisions on both teams - fair play to him for keeping on going into his 70's but have rarely seen a ref never leave the centrecircle during a game! lol
Hope to get that 4th spot - and possibly a promotion place - but it is looking interesting for that battle - Meriden, Handsworth and Wylde Green will all be up for it - and so Maple must look to take as points as they can vs Elmdon, Aston and yourselves and other remaining matches.
See you soon.
