Maple's End Of Season Awards & Night Out...

Gentlemen (and Tony),

The time of year for the prestigious Maple Leaf Annual Awards evening has arrived. This years event will take place on Sunday 6th May and involve a pub crawl around Stourbridge interspersed with various awards being given out along the way.

We will be meeting in the Royal Oak at 6.30pm or at the Hogs Head in Stourbridge at 7.30pm.

Unlike the PFA awards it is not a Black Tie event and dinner will not be provided - so line your own stomachs before you go.

Matt has designed & organised the Official Voting Form for the end-of-season awards as well as a list of the nominees against the various categories. Nominees have been carefully considered by a select panel of the games finest football observers, but if there absolutely essential reasons why somebody else should be included let Matt know.

If you are able to complete the form with your votes and send it back to Matt Hillyer before Thursday 3rd May that would be great. If not Matt should have some forms on the night for anyone who hasn't already voted.

Also please let Matt know if you can make it and whether you will meet in the Royal Oak or Hogs Head.

Although we live in a democracy Maple Leaf have been legally advised (by Tony so it might be wrong) that we cannot actually vote for Top Goalscorer award and that Rob has already 'won' this award so no votes needed for this category. This is a great shame as some people thought Ste AB might take the title...

Hopefully a good time will be had by all - and Tony will not need hospitilisation this year, Eddie will fall asleep face down in his food, Ste will remember to bring the 'Jacket Of Shame', and Barney will turn this year to wear it.

A top night out had by all

Congrats to all those who awards - and condolences to Jon Gater for being the slowest ever drinker in the history of Maple Leaf

Kudos to Moley for trying to get everyone to believe that he is indeed the best looking player at the club - surely an early foreunner for next season's 'Comedy Moment Of The Season' award?

Also, big big thanks to Matty for organising everything on the night

Smaller thanks (literally) to Tony, who decided to treat the passers-by in Stourbridge to a rare late-night 'treat'.
